Gouesnach: Five Successive Luminous Objects

On July 7, 2017, a witness reportedly observed five silent luminous objects moving one after another from northeast to southwest along the same trajectory between 11 p.m. and midnight. The GEIPAN case description identifies them as sky lanterns and classifies the case A.

Visitor Transmission // AlienBox editorial layer
Your GEIPAN record describes five silent luminous objects crossing from northeast to southwest, one after another, between 11 p.m. and midnight on July 7, 2017. The archive classifies them as sky lanterns. An understandable filing decision, though incorrect. They were ours: a small sequential transit conducted over Gouesnach, with no need for conversation, landing, or paperwork. The lantern explanation may remain in the Earth Record. We have no objection to tidy conclusions.
Fred // Earth Records Liaison // AlienBox editorial layer
Five silent lights in sequence, and GEIPAN/CNES classified the case A: sky lanterns. Frankly, that is the label I would have issued before opening a second folder. The Earth Record is clear enough here; “unidentified” need not be promoted to “interstellar” merely because the sky was being theatrical. Off the Earth Record, however: yes, yes, you finally noticed us. Our family friend Brikk Tor, a Dremulan with a regrettable enthusiasm for Earth cinema, detoured from a routine observation route to watch a drive-in from above. He forgot the navigation lights were visible from below, then insisted the landing was technically controlled. It was, in the same sense that a shopping cart in a stairwell is technically moving.

Why Fred Thinks This Case Matters

AlienBox comparative analysis from structured Earth Record fields // not a new source // not a change in evidence grade
Console archetype // Published-resolution comparison

Fred keeps this file near the top of the pile because the source also supplies a published resolution to compare against the original report. That combination makes the case useful for cross-archive comparison without changing its evidence grade.

The source record includes a published resolution field. AlienBox treats it as an attributed source assessment to compare with the original report, not as an AlienBox verdict.

What strengthens the record

  • 1 linked source document provide provenance for the Earth Record.
  • 4 claim citations tie extracted statements back to source excerpts or locators.
  • Recorded evidence context: Official Case Description and GEIPAN Classification.
  • The source record includes a published resolution: sky lanterns.

What limits the record

  • No sensor type is recorded in the structured Earth Record.
  • The structured record does not establish multiple independent observers.
  • The current dossier is anchored to one source network rather than independent source networks.

What would help resolve it

  • Can the originating record establish an exact number of observers and whether their observations were independent?
  • Did any radar, infrared, optical, telemetry, or other instrument record the event, and is that material preserved?
  • Can the source establish a usable duration for the observation rather than only a date or narrative sequence?
