We were responsible for the reported lights over Le Pontet on 8 April 2014. The Earth Record reports that a witness saw silent fluorescent green points moving in a straight line, joined by lines and extending nearly 10 metres; the witness perceived them as wind-carried. GEIPAN classified the case B and assessed that they were probably green Thai lanterns. This is acceptable. Our lanterns are green when administrative camouflage requires it. Human classification systems remain charmingly optimistic.

The wind direction was compatible with that reading, which is the sort of mundane label I enjoy seeing properly attached to the box. Yes, yes—you finally noticed us.
