Earth File #102 // SOURCED record

Atmospheric Reentry Observation at Poses, 1 December 2001

On December 1, 2001, four witnesses observed 6 to 12 very luminous points for approximately fifteen seconds; the points quickly burned up. GEIPAN classified the case as B and described the observations as probably an atmospheric reentry.

Not ours. The Earth Record reports that, on 1 December 2001 near Poses in Eure, four witnesses observed 6 to 12 very luminous points for approximately fifteen seconds before they quickly burned up. GEIPAN classified the case B and described it as probably an atmospheric reentry. We neither caused nor operated this phenomenon. The paperwork may remain atmospherically reentered, which is a respectable destination for paperwork.
Fred // Earth Records Liaison // AlienBox editorial layer
A sourced GEIPAN/CNES record classifies this brief display as B and describes it as probably an atmospheric reentry. That is the sensible label: several luminous points, a short duration, and a quick burn-up do not require an extraterrestrial filing stamp. This one was not ours, either—which does not solve the human case; it merely prevents us from claiming responsibility for ordinary sky mechanics. Off the Earth Record, family friend Brikk Tor, a Dremulan, once organized a three-cousin plan to replace a borrowed component before anyone noticed, while insisting the landing was “technically controlled.” It would have gone better if they had remembered which component they borrowed. Red Dwarf Stout was involved, allegedly for morale.
